The Reality of Drug Abuse

Many people are oblivious to what actually happens when a person is suffering from a drug addiction.  Some communities do not see the violence drug trafficking and selling can bring.  Countries feel the impact everyday in some way due to drug use and the crimes that comes with it.

Drug use and abuse can control the person, drug crops and drug cartels control farmers, and drug trafficking and crime can control communities.  This is the reality of drug abuse in today’s world.  Young people are some of the most vulnerable to the impact of drugs and drug related crime.  Teen drug use is on the rise throughout most of the world, and most of the teens that start using drugs were just experimenting with them.  Due to low self esteem, life problems, and just a complete lack of information, these teens start using these drugs on a regular basis without really knowing the full impact the drugs will have on their life.  Most teens are not fully aware of the health risks involved in illicit drug use.
